Ranked by our overall score: trust & licensing 30 %, range 25 %, website & apps 15 %, payments 15 %, support & safer gambling 15 %. Operator links are plain links to each homepage. Availability depends on where you live.
One-line verdicts and the trust score on its own, since licensing is the part of the rating we weigh most heavily.
The benchmark for in-play betting: huge market depth, live streaming and well-rated apps under strict licences, though busy for beginners.
A polished, football-focused sportsbook with free streams for verified customers and strong local licences, but only where a Betano site exists.
A dependable all-rounder with streaming, Bet Builder and a large casino under strict licences, though less deep than the market leaders.
A football-first sportsbook with strong bet-editing tools and strict licences; the group's compliance history and vague support details hold it back.
A heritage bookmaker with standout racing coverage and a full safer gambling toolkit, under UK and Irish licences but with a mixed regulatory record.
A complete all-rounder with sport, casino, bingo and a dedicated poker app, held back by recent UK and Australian enforcement against its operators.
A huge sportsbook and casino with very wide market coverage, held back by an offshore licence, a troubled legal history and thinner player protection.
A licence that covers you. A sportsbook can be well run and still not be licensed for your country. Look for the regulator that applies where you live, such as the UK Gambling Commission, Germany's GGL, iGaming Ontario or a US state regulator, and check the licence in that regulator's public register. Each of our reviews links to the registers we used.
The markets you actually bet on. A huge event list matters less than depth in the sports you follow. If you bet on lower leagues, tennis outside the main tours or live markets, compare those sections directly rather than relying on headline numbers.
Withdrawal rules, not just deposit options. Deposits are almost always instant. What differs is how quickly withdrawals are processed, which methods can receive them and what identity checks are needed first. Completing verification early avoids most delays.
Limits and self-exclusion. Good operators let you set deposit limits, take a time-out or exclude yourself from the account settings. In some countries, such as Great Britain with GAMSTOP, there is also a national self-exclusion scheme.
Offers with readable terms. Welcome offers vary by country and change often, so we do not list amounts. If you consider one, read the wagering requirements, minimum odds and time limits first. Opting in is always optional.
